About the norse & celtic

Hammers, valknuts, runes, wolves and knotwork. Norse motifs carry meaning for the people who wear them, and the HZMAN approach is to name the motif plainly and leave the meaning to the wearer.

Knotwork is the hardest thing to cast cleanly, because the strands have to stay separate where they cross. On the pieces here you can see the gap between strands; where a maker's photograph shows a solid blur, we do not put the piece on the bench.
